Production Description of ACAR conductor
Aluminium Conductor Alloy Reinforced (ACAR) is formed by concentrically stranded wires of Aluminium 1350 on high strength Aluminium -Magnesium -Silicon(AlMgSi) alloy core. The number of wires of Aluminum1350 & AlMgSi alloy depends on the cable design. Though the general design comprises a stranded core of AlMgSi alloy strand, in certain cable constructions , the wires of AlMgSi alloy strands can be distributed in layers throughout the Aluminium 1350 strands.
Application of ACAR conductor
ACSR, AAC, AAAC,ASCSR&ACAR conductor widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels. Since they have such good characteristics as simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low cost for the line, large transmission capacity and are also suitable for laying across rivers and valleys etc aerial line.

ACAR manufactured by Midal meets or exceeds the requirements of all international standards like ASTM, AS, BS, CSA, DIN, IEC, NFC, SS -etc
Construction of ACAR conductor
Concentric-stranded cable formed by a core of 6201-T81 aluminum alloy wires surrounded by 1350 H-19 aluminum wires concentrically stranded over the alloy core. Some designs have 1350 aluminum wires and 6201 alloy wires intercalated in the same layer.
