MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLE STANDARD
This medium voltage xlpe cable manufactured according to IEC60502, SANS 1339, BS 6622, AS/NZS1429.1, NFC 33226, CSA C-68.3, ICEA S-93-639, ICEA S-94-649, CSA C68.5, IS 7098, etc. standard as customer request.

MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLE CONSTRUCTION
Conductor: copper conductor or aluminum conductor
Conductor screen: Semi-conducting material
Insulation: XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene)
Insulation Screen: Semi-conducting material
Metallic Screen: Ioverall copper tape screen
Filler: PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) fibres
Separator: Binding tape
Bedding: PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Armour: Steel Tape Armoured (STA) or Aluminium Wire Armoured (AWA) or Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) or unarmoured
Outer sheath: PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or Polyethylene (PE)
Colour: Black or as request
MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLE APPLICATION
The product is suitable for power transmission and distribution lines with rated power frequency voltage up to and including 35KV. It is generally used for power networks, underground, outdoors and in cable ducting.

1. Rated voltages: 3.6/6 kV~26/35 kV
2. The ambient temperature for installation: ≥0℃
3. Maximum conductor temperature in normal operation:≤90℃
4. Max operating temperature of con. When cable short-circuited (5s maximum duration): 250℃

Single core – Fixed: 15 x overall diameter
3 core – Fixed: 12 x overall diameter
(Single core 12 x overall diameter and 3 core 10 x overall diameter where bands are positioned adjacent to joint or terminations provided that the bending is carefully controlled by the use of a former)
