ACSR Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced
What’s the ACSR Conductor?
ACSR is a high-capacity stranded conductor which is mainly used for overhead power lines.
The term ACSR stands for “Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced is a stranded conductor including a number of aluminum wire layers on stimulated steel wire core. Here the steel wire core is a single wire that depends on the size. These are available in different galvanizations like class A, B & C for protecting the corrosion.
The proportion of steel and aluminium in an ACSR conductor can be selected based on the mechanical strength and current carrying capacity demanded by each application.
ACSR (aluminum conductor steel reinforced) has a long service record because of its economy, dependability, and strength to weight ratio. The combined light weight and high conductivity of aluminum with strength of the steel core enables higher tensions, less sag, and longer spans than any alternative.
JYTOP manufacture and supply ACSR on Non-Returnable wooden/steel reels or Returnable steel reels depending on customer requirement.
