Description of copper cable

For XLPE insulated power cable, either chemical method or physical method is employed to transform the molecular structure of PE from chain into three-dimensional network, i.e. thermo-plastic PE is transformed into thermosetting XLPE. After cr·oss-linking, the thermal and mechanical properties of PE have been greatly improved while its excellent electrical property are still retained.

The maximum permissible operating of the conductor of a XLPE insulated power cable is 90°C.which is higher than that of paper, PVC or PE insulated power cable. The cable has the advantage of simplicity in construction, lightness in weight, convenience in application besides its excellent electrical, thermal, mechanical and anti-chemical corrosion properties. It can also be laid with no limitation of level difference along the route.

This product is suitable for fixed frequency setting voltage 0.6 / 1KV and below distribution network or industrial installations. Commonly used in aerial work.

Product features of XLPE cable

1. Refractory:The two materials used in mineral insulated cables are copper and mineral insulation are inorganic.This type of cable does not burn, nor does it aid combustion, and can continue to operate in close proximity to the flame.Copper sheath melt under 1083 °C.

6. Waterproof:If the mineral-insulated cable is completely immersed in water, the operation of the mineral-insulated cable can continue with the aid of its seamless metal sheath.

7. High mechanical strength:Mineral insulated cables are strong and durable and can withstand severe mechanical damage without damaging their electrical properties.

8. High carrying capacity:For cables of the same cross-section, mineral-insulated cables transmit a higher current than other types of cables.At the same time, the mineral-insulated cable can withstand considerable overload.
